In October 2019 Hammertech introduced the new and upgraded AquaField™ 2.0. The difference between the AquaField™ 1.0 and 2.0 is the new water cut (Water Liquid Ratio) functionality into the AquaField™ meter, resulting in that the AquaField™ now is a full multiphase fraction meter.
The AquaField™ still has the same conductivity (salinity) measurement as before, but with the added functionality the AquaField™ 2.0 will meet more customers needs in the market. Morten Brandt, CTO of Hammertech, says that with this new functionality the new AquaField™ 2.0 will cover a multitude of applications covering:
- reservoir & production optimization for e.g., water breakthrough detection and online real-time multiphase monitoring of wells
- HSE & ESG related issues such as reduced high carbon emitting mobile well testing and hazardous sampling
- significant cost reduction due to the unique independence of fluid properties (PVT) resulting in simplified installation and commissioning, and virtually no maintenance costs.
